Day 1: Arrival & Imperial Beginnings

Morning/Afternoon

Arrive in Beijing and check into your hotel (we recommend staying in Central Beijing for easy access to all sights). Start your journey with a stroll through Tiananmen Square, the symbolic heart of modern China, before entering the Forbidden City—the grand imperial palace that housed 24 emperors over 500 years. Don’t miss the Hall of Supreme Harmony and the intricate imperial gardens.

Evening

Dine on authentic Peking Duck at a renowned local restaurant, then wander the historic Wangfujing Street for snacks and souvenirs.

Day 2: The Great Wall & Ming Tombs

Full Day

Take a day trip to the Mutianyu Great Wall (less crowded than Badaling) to hike along one of the most scenic sections of the wall. Enjoy panoramic views of the misty mountains and ancient watchtowers. In the afternoon, visit the Ming Tombs—the burial site of 13 Ming Dynasty emperors, where you can explore the sacred pathway and underground chambers.

Evening

Return to Beijing and relax with a traditional hot pot dinner, a beloved local comfort food.

Day 3: Imperial Gardens & Cultural Immersion

Morning

Visit the Summer Palace, a masterpiece of Chinese garden design. Wander the Long Corridor, row a boat on Kunming Lake, and climb to the Tower of Buddhist Incense for sweeping views.

Afternoon

Explore the Temple of Heaven, where emperors once prayed for good harvests. Walk the Circular Mound Altar and the Hall of Prayer for Good Harvests, then wander the surrounding park to see locals practicing tai chi and folk music.

Evening

Experience a Kung Fu or acrobatic show—a dazzling display of traditional Chinese performing arts.

Day 4: Hutongs & Modern Beijing

Morning

Dive into old Beijing with a hutong tour—narrow alleyways lined with traditional courtyard homes. Visit Nanluoguxiang, a preserved hutong district filled with boutique shops, cafes, and historic siheyuan courtyards.

Afternoon

Head to 798 Art Zone, a former factory complex turned vibrant contemporary art district. Browse galleries, street art, and design studios to see China’s modern creative side.

Evening

Dine in Sanlitun, Beijing’s trendy nightlife district, with bars, restaurants, and rooftop terraces offering skyline views.

Day 5: Final Exploration & Departure

Morning

Choose one last highlight: visit the National Museum of China (the world’s largest museum by floor area) to see ancient artifacts and Chinese history, or take a leisurely walk in Beihai Park—a serene imperial garden with a central island and white pagoda.

Afternoon

Pack your bags and head to the airport, taking with you memories of Beijing’s timeless charm and dynamic energy.
